Ref/NP2778
Staffordshire pottery figure of a Scottish couple seated on a clock, dating back to the 19th century.
It is hand-painted, typically featuring blue, green, and pink colors.
The man is depicted holding bagpipes, while the woman sits with her hands crossed.
These "clock" figures may have served as a substitute for real clocks in Victorian times.
The figures are typically around 14 inches tall and 9 inches wide.
They were produced by various pottery factories in England and Scotland.
Condition can vary, with some pieces showing wear to the glaze or crazing.
