James C. Tarbet was born in 1897 at 19 Newton Street Greenock. His parents were William and Annie Tarbet. James first served in the Cameron Highlanders with a number of 201234 before later being moved to the Gordon Highlanders with a service number of 310299.
Unfortunately James was Killed on the 7th of April and is commemorated at the West Boulogne Cemetery in France.
