Scottish Regency Rosewood Fold-Over Card Table

This Scottish regency table showcases exceptional 19th-century British craftsmanship, featuring a beautifully figured, rosewood top with rounded corners. Designed as a dual-purpose piece of salon furniture, the top swivels and opens to reveal a red felt lined playing surface, alongside a storage compartment underneath for cards and game pieces. The table is supported by a turned and ring-turned central pillar featuring a gadrooned collar on a concave quadripartite base raised on four out-swept, scrolled legs fitted with their original decorative brass capped castors. Circa 1815.
