Original British Naval Union Jack Military Flag Dated 1978 Reputedly flown Ark R

This is not JUST a flag, this is a real Royal Navy Union Jack flag. It is woven, double stitched linen (not printed nylon) It flew on HMS Ark Royal R09 and has the wear to prove it! Province - Formerly belonged to lieutenant Commander George Hammerton who served as a Senior Gunnery Officer on board the Ark Royal and belonged to part of his estate.

The left hoist edge features a traditional canvas heading sleeve with a heavy-duty hemp rope and brass snap hook setup, constructed explicitly for securing to a ship's jackstaff or halyard.

Presented in good condition.
