Flag Pole WW1 British Made Large Vintage Union Jack Flag British UK Circa 1910-20’s
Large Union Jack on pole looks more black than the original blue with wooden finale which would have been gold but mostly faded.
The flag symbolises the union of the kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland (specifically Northern Ireland since 1921) under one sovereign. It originated in 1606 by combining the Cross of St. George (England) and the Saltire of St. Andrew (Scotland), with the Saltire of St. Patrick (Ireland) added in 1801.
