Vintage score counter for Russian billiards, known as "Le Simplex - Pour billard russe". It is designed to keep track of the scores for two players, "Spot" and "Plain." Manufactured by Cox & Yeman of London and also manufactured in France. Scoring Mechanism: Features two rotating number displays, one for each player, with the current scores shown as 59 and 10. 
Constructed with wooden frame and metal scorekeeping plates and cases, showcasing an art deco aesthetic. Used for the Russian pyramid billiards game, popular in Russia and former Soviet countries. 
Another use was as a lap counter for racing cars, usually installed on dashboards as single items.
