The figure traditionally depicted as an immortal whose spirit travelled to meet Laozi, but upon returning, found his body incinerated by a disciple; he was forced to enter the decaying body of a lame beggar.Origin & Era: Stylistically consistent with southern Chinese kiln traditions such as Shiwan pottery, often produced in the late 19th or early 20th century with expressive, polychrome glaze detailing.
