About this collection
Moorcroft Pottery
William Moorcroft began designing pottery in Staffordshire in the late 1890s, and the company that carries his name still makes pieces in Stoke-on-Trent today. Each design is outlined by hand in raised slip, a technique called tube-lining, before being coloured and glazed.
We stock both older and modern Moorcroft, from small pin dishes to statement vases. Every piece is checked for damage and restoration, and we describe marks and condition in the listing. Want to know more? Read our guide to identifying Moorcroft on the blog.
Ask about a pieceQuestions
How can I tell if Moorcroft is genuine?
Look for the impressed Moorcroft mark and painted or impressed signature on the base, then check the raised tube-lined outlines on the decoration. Our blog guide covers marks and dating in more detail.
